Gallus Stadium Park Inn, Ascend Hotel Collection

The design of the rooms and the price of the stay were outstanding. Why the city isn't redeveloping the area surrounding the hotel is a mystery to me; it's on active railroad tracks, near power and fire station facilities, industrial park buildings and some abandoned warehouses. The bedding was deluxe and I was extremely comfortable. The Wi-Fi was outstanding with more free premium channels than I knew existed and no shopping ones. I wish they'd put a password on their Wi-Fi as I'm uncomfortable using unsecured Wi-Fi, but there were so many pluses I didn't expect at that price: free coffee 24/7 in the lobby, and microwave, refrigerator, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, and continental breakfast during the week with a hot buffet breakfast on the weekends. Ice machine on the second floor of a three-story building (I'm much prefer to stay in low rise buildings than high-rises just in case of fire).

The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good for the most part. Eggs were a little dry but everything else was good. I enjoyed the mini pancakes and sausage.

The night time clerk was amazing. Brought up my cell phone that I left at front desk,before I even knew I left it there. Also changed my room when I told him my room was too hot.He did it fast with no problems. Very nice guy. Very personable and was there to please me.

Rooms were clean.. I think one was a pet friendly , but a little air freshers went a long ways. Location was great. Closes hotel to William-Brice stadium. The whole staff was very polite and very friendly.
